Karina first brought Alana over for a sitting in July, 2000.  You can see the results of that sitting on this page.  The results were good, and both models were really pleased with the pictures (requesting extra prints).  But I thought we could do better.  During the first sitting, I used side lighting a lot, which meant that one model was well lit while the other was in shadows.  For this sitting, I envisioned different lighting, with a main light above the camera position and a second light to highlight the background, giving nice separation between the models and a back wall.  I like these pictures much better.  What do you think?

Here's an interesting thing to consider.  It's something that happens often in photography.  On the right is a picture in its original orientation.  But, if you look below, I think I like it better turned 90°.
