These "tracks
on the glass" pictures are something else! I
like that the show motion. I like how they make Carlotta's
right eye pop into focus while her left eye is blurred.
Plus, while it is clear that Carlotta is nude, the fact
that you can't see any naughty bits adds to the overall
mystery of the image.
Hands
are amazing -- hands are the second most expressive part
of a person, and it's always a good idea get hands involved.

Posing in
the shower can't be physically comfortable for the model.
Just recently, I figured out that putting a pad on the stone
tile floor was a good thing to do -- it's easier on the
model's knees, and you can't really see the pad in the photograph.
But if
the model is just a few inches away from the glass, her
image will be blurred & obscure, and there are just
a few ways for the model to move up close to the window.
Also
note: the tracks Carlotta makes on the inside of the
glass don't last long -- the water is running, and the inside
of the glass steams up quickly. Remember -- this is
a steam room, and with the door closed, it's designed to
trap steam.

So, how
do you get close to the window? You can lean on it.
It's
funny: I don't really mind the breast pressed up against
the glass, but there's something about the chin that just
isn't right. Funny, huh?

Here's a
favorite. I just love the attitude in the pose that
matches the expression on her face. I like that she's
soaking wet. I love the water drops on the glass.
I love the sexually daring pose -- with the glass, it's
definitely a teasing look -- "you can look but don't
touch".
This
just works for me.
(Actually, there's a practical side to this pose -- I've
told Carlotta to "cheat" her chin up when possible
-- the light is above her, and if she looks directly at
the camera, much of her face, including her eyes, would
be in shadow. This looks natural (mostly because of
Carlotta's ability) -- it's a pleasing effect).

"Way
back in my youth (decades & decades ago), I went to
a summer camp for art students. One assignment --
we were asked to show examples for a "hot" and
a "cool" medium. My answer: I pinned
two Playboy playmate pin-ups onto the bulletin board.
One of these photographs was a playmate who was topless
but wearing a bikini bottom (this was before Playboy showed
pubic hair). On this image, I cut out two strips of
black construction paper, and I pinned these over her breasts &
over her hips. The other pin-up actually showed more,
but I left this image alone.
Then,
I stood back & observed. People (mostly the boys)
would come up to the bulletin board, and they would remove
the push pins to peek under the strips of paper -- they
would see the playmate's breasts, and they would laugh when
they found out that this playmate wasn't showing her pubic
area. Everyone put the black paper strips back in
place. The other playmate, the one who actually showed
more skin than the covered one, was mostly ignored.
That
was a seminal lesson for me. It's much more powerful
to suggest than to expose --
images that fire the imagination, that require one's brain
to fill in the details are better than the images to lay
everything out to be seen.
That's
why I like this picture and many of the other pictures in
this set.

I think this
image is a favorite of Carlotta's. At least, she included
it in one of her on-line portfolios, and it's still there as
of this writing. |
|
Okay, I
admit it -- Carlotta's fabulous breasts are eye-magnets.
With great discipline, I ask Carlotta for some poses featuring
her back. Here, you can see her perfect hourglass
figure. Such a lovely narrow waist, broad & strong
shoulders, lovely hips. Carlotta is phenomenal.

On one hand,
I can understand if a viewer has come to the opinion that
these shower pictures are beginning to look alike.
On the other hand, I'm enjoying these pictures a great deal.
Carlotta looks fabulous from any angle, in any pose.
The steam provides subtle differences. These images
are mysterious & inviting & unusual. What's
not to love? |

One last
image -- the last I made with Carlotta (Jessica took a turn
with this setup when I was done). We have gone over
our allotted time by a big lot, but Carlotta was a good
(great) sport about it. Later, when I was here on
my computer processing these images, I played with some
artistic effects -- below is a favorite effect. |

Carlotta, besides
being a stunning beauty, was a consummate professional. She was
a great sport, putting up with both Jessica & me, and she was gracious
about us going over our scheduled time. I would love to work with
Carlotta again (but next time, I might not share).
