Carlotta is
pretty much the best known traveling glamour & fine
arts model in the world. She has appeared everywhere
-- her resume is jam packed & impressive.
I always
feel so privileged that she visits our small market here
once in a while, and I am even more privileged when she
agrees to pose for me.
Unlike
her typical high-glam session, I choose to work with her
in a more casual setting
|
Y'know -- no
matter how casual the setting and how casual the clothing,
Carlotta always looks sexy to me.
I think
I still prefer the sepia toning to these pictures, but for
those color fans, I'll throw in the occasional color image.

I love working
with experienced models. They are comfortable &
confident, and they are practiced at presenting their figures
in the best light.
(Ha! "In
the best light"! That's a photography pun!)
But I
think I challenge experienced models. Many experienced
models simply revert to those tried & true habits that
made them successful, like that serious, staring off into
the distance type pose. I like eye contact.
Many
models are used to being lost in their own little world
inside their heads, but I like to engage the model's brain
with a little conversation, which can break their concentration.
Carlotta,
besides being a knock-out, is quite intelligent and adapts
to my style quite easily. She's easy to be around
and easy to talk with.

Oooo -- we
got Carlotta's socks off. Look at those ankles!
Several
years ago, I called my "go-to" model to come over
in a hurry so that we could take advantage of the natural
light in my house on a rare sunny winter day. She
hustled on over, came inside, & quickly threw off her
clothing. She plopped down in the golden light, and
we immediately started working, and we made some wonderful
images.
A couple
of minutes into the session, she looked down at her ankles
and pointed out that her tight socks had left some marks
there. I replied, "Darling, no body is going
to be looking at your ankles!"

Carlotta has
a glorious figure, and this moment, when she reveals it
to me, is always breathtaking.
See the
image below: I like it when I'm inspired to try some
non-centered compositions. I like how that image below
works.

I like this
picture. I like how Carlotta is nude but you can't
quite see all the juicy bits. I don't like that you
can see the tops of her bottoms by her hips, but what can
you do? I like how svelte Carlotta's waist is. |
I shouldn't
admit this, but I work here on my computer pretty much every
day, and when I do, I'm here alone. I'm not used to
that. So, in order to keep me company, I have a TV
set up right next to my computer monitor (on the left).
I don't watch it; I don't even listen to it much, but it's
on, and on occasion it grabs my attention.
Right
now, there's a Victoria's Secret ad on, shouting
"All underwear, 50% off!!!"
I wonder if this is what they had in mind?
Ha!
Who says photography (especially nude photography) has to
be serious?
