is Desiree, a young local new model. If I had to

I'm
finding that I'm doing a lot of editing with these
pictures from the first setup. My first pass, I
edited the full figure version (like the image above);
on the second pass, I cropped closer, usually from head
to waist, like this one on the left.
Back
in my film days, that's why I moved to medium format
(6x7) film, but I usually printed only on 8x10 paper --
one main reason I did that was because I have a habit of
cropping. Sometimes, I crop even more than
this. That's why I need a high resolution digital
camera with a sharp lens. By current standards, I
could do better than my Canon 5D.

| The
objective of the first sitting with a new-to-me model is
simply "get acquainted". I think this is
especially true with new models. Desiree is
relatively inexperienced, but she is confident &
expressive.
The
beginnings (the first several exposures for the first
setup) are delicate. We are simply getting to know
each other. It doesn't take long for us to warm up
to each other. When Desiree smiles (something she
does often & easily), she simply lights up the room.
It
doesn't take long before we start having loads of fun.

Desiree
is a close friend of Sagebell, another local model who
posed for the set before this one. They enjoy
cosplay -- creating costumes for fictional characters.
Desiree
was aware that we'd be doing this setup, where I
photograph her in the clothes she wore to my door, and
we'd continue to photograph as she removed them.
She chose this outfit. The question is when does
she start removing clothing and how fast should she go?
With
a little encouragement, she gets started. It's
very exciting for me. |

We
get a little more serious, and Desiree gets a little
more sensuous. |
| I
got to say that I really enjoy these "getting
started" setups, and I do believe that Desiree is
enjoying herself, too. She is coming up with all
sorts of suggestions & variations. She's
taking her time removing her "90s Kid" shirt;
indeed, she takes it off and puts it back on so that she
could take it off again. We photographers love it
when a model enthusiastically embraces our concepts.

Now that her jacket, shorts, and stockings
are removed, Desiree suggests that we take a step back
by putting her shirt back on and starting over from that
point. That sounded like a very good idea to me. |

| Let's
be real -- Desiree is very young; indeed, I am
approaching the age of her grandparents. I tend to
socialize with people closer to my age, but it is fun to
be around young people every once in a while. That
being said, I'm glad that is still thrilling to me when
a beautiful young woman takes off her clothes for
me. It might not be politically correct, but I
won't apologize. I'm not that old
yet. |
