A little while ago, I was talking with a fellow photographer -- he works with models outside most of the time, while I work inside my house most of the time. He wondered how I could work in the same location over & over; I just smiled. My house is different every time I work here. It's a challenge for me to keep it fresh, to find new things to look at, to evolve my photography while keeping my location semi-constant. Case in point: my favorite window. I have only one window that faces south, because for much of the length of my house, I'm less that two feet away from my neighbor next door, a nine story building. Sunny days are rare, especially in the winter, but potentially, there's magic light coming in from that window for just an hour or so every day. I've learned to look for it. Over the years, many lovely ladies have posed for me by this window. On this page, I present my favorites. They are particularly interesting because my style & my technical abilities have evolved over the years. Enjoy. Do me a favor: pay attention to the month of the year in which each image was created, then check out how the sunlight falls on the floor. Am I right -- the window light is different each time?
